Finding Strength in our Weaknesses
People all over the world struggle with their mental health on some capacity. Often, without any control of it, some even come to dislike that part of themselves. But, what if we didn’t. Now don’t get me wrong, Mental Health is a serious issue, there’s no disputing that. However, we have the choice on our perception of it. We can certainly gain strength and confidence from our weaknesses. How? You wonder. Well, firstly, recognizing a vulnerability gives you power over it. Secondly, understanding it allows you to practice multiple techniques to better your Mental Health.
Confidence isn’t something that is just there naturally. It takes a great deal of courage to be confident. Plus, it takes willpower and patience to maintain. It also takes a certain level of trust and belief.
In a previous post How to Stop Self-Sabotaging and Start Thriving, I spoke about changing the phrase from I can’t to I can. Additionally, this comes with confidence to say it and believe it.

Gaining confidence in your Mental Health:
There are so many ways to be brave in embracing yourself and your identity. For example, this can be through campaigning with Mental Health Awareness. And in so doing, you will gain more confidence in yourself and who you are as you fight your battles.

Another way of gaining confidence in your Mental Health battle is by diving into your mind through reflective exercises. This can be through writing in a journal. Not only will you reap the benefits of expressing yourself openly but you will learn and grow as you write.

Another exercise is meditation which helps to alleviate stress and increases inner peace. This can be achieved through yoga. You can also learn breathing exercises or practice body stretches. These activities are beneficial to the mind and body, getting you in sync.

Exploring or traveling is another great step. It helps to stretch your boundaries. It shows you what you’re capable of. Afterwards, you gain a higher level of confidence. Research proves that spending time on holiday or outdoors increases your mood levels. Your mood and how you feel affects your level of confidence. Traveling broadens your mind and involves taking risks.

We often fear the risk of being judged or looked down upon when we’re different. But everyone has their own uniqueness. It’s important to embrace that part of yourself and understand it. Then you can live freely and confidently and also help others through inspiring them as well.
