It is a wonderful thing to have goals, dreams and desires. Each allow you to hope and give you something to aspire to. Achieving your goal setting is possible if you put in the hard work and time. Every step is a victory. But leaping ahead will make you miss preparation time, and more often than not leads to a failure. Admittedly, failure does happen. Rejection does happen. For this reason, we have to get real that that outcome is possible. However, there are steps you can take to better yourself and prepare yourself so that that outcome is less likely.
Productivity
For the sake of your goal setting it is important to be productive. An enemy of productivity is definitely procrastination. Which is often namely dependent on your mood. In order to procrastinate less you have to actively work against your negative thoughts. This comes under the category of rewiring your mind. To sum up, this can be done through practice and repetition.
Examples of my goal setting:
To illustrate, there are three goals I want to achieve. They might sound easy or silly, but they are extremely detrimental to my life. They are: to be more positive, choose happiness, and learn to love myself.
For me to achieve this I know I need to be self-reflective and willing to change mindsets and behavioural patterns. So, I often need help from books I’ve read like workbooks, guides and prompts. I use planners and journals to organize my chaotic thoughts. On the whole, they help me write my thoughts, feelings, and goals.
