About: I Once was Lost, Now I am Found

Mental Health impacts us all daily in our thoughts, moods or feelings. We all in some capacity struggle with our Mental Health.

For this reason, I began the blog:

This blog began as a way for me to share my experiences with others. I can think of a specific example where someone helped me when I felt lost. This woman had experienced countless struggles in her life, and while helping me she shared some good advice. ‘Why are you fighting as though you’re on your own? Truly, I tell you, you aren’t alone. We’re in this together.’ Without a doubt, her words made an impact, and I was found.

Before I felt lost, hopeless and like I had no place in the world. Sound familiar? Now I am found.

Together, we all will profit from each other’s help and knowledge.

Throughout my life I struggled with social anxiety a great deal. And due to this I had depression, loneliness and suicidal thoughts. What’s more, I began to lose my identity and closed myself off to hope, faith and belief.

Steps from lost to found:

  • Firstly, I recognized every thought that held my mind captive. These were negative thoughts that told me ‘no’ or ‘I can’t’. The example I shared earlier about being in this together is one of the main lessons I learned.
  • Secondly, I journaled my thoughts and feelings throughout the week.

    Tools I Found Helpful:

Tools I used can be found on page Positive Wellbeing – Embrace Yourself with Love and Kindness under Miscellaneous category.

The workbooks and guides can be found under Helpful Mental Health Books, Guides and Courses For You.

      Additional steps I Found Helpful:

Thirdly, I learned that if we are good, kind, and encouraging to one another, we can conquer mental health struggles. Compassion allows us to face these challenges together.

Also, I found enjoyment and relaxation as I created a peaceful home environment. For example, adding plants and art to my natural surroundings and playing music. Another thing I did was begin to exercise more.
